Over 1000 costumed guests attended the bone-chilling Boo Ball at Hilton Americas – Houston. The evening featured spooktacular scenery, a frighteningly fantastic auction and dancing to the enchanted energy of The Grooves. Emceed by Don Nelson disguised as Nemo, this one-of-a-kind biennial gala raised over $1,287,000 for our families.
Hundreds of treasures were found on Treasure Island where 150 Boo Bags sold out within one hour! Inside the Grand Ballroom, guests perused over 80 silent auction packages that included an exclusive French River Boat Cruise, signed JJ Watt Jersey, dinner party for 24 at Grace’s, VIP admission to the Firestone Grand Prix, and much more. Wine connoisseurs browsed 50 lots of incredible wine selections in the Haunted Wine Cellar. The excitement continued to build with the exhilarating 350 RX Lexus Raffle drawing! Later in the evening, guests bid high on six terrifically terrifying live auction packages, including a beautiful vineyard villa vacation in Tuscany and tickets to Super Bowl LI!
All of the mischief and mayhem continued at the Boo Ball’s first Young Professionals After-Party, chaired by Cricket and Daniel DeWalch. Approximately 100 ghostly guests added flair and fun to the evening, at this ghastly gala addition hosted by Hasti Taghi.
The most meaningful moments of the night, however, were captured in the debut of a special RMH Houston video presentation followed by the appearance of eight former children and siblings! The audience understood the true meaning of the night and the ultimate reason for every dollar contributed.
Support for this event was provided by countless committee chairs and members, event supporters, and vendors. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the screaming success of the Boo Ball, we could not have done this without you!
