Family Meals and Activities
Group volunteers are currently not allowed on-site at any of our four locations due to our COVID-19 safety precautions. Since we serve a high-risk population of immune-compromised children and their families, we are doing all we can to keep them safe. We look forward to returning to on-site group volunteering once it is considered safe for everyone. In the meantime, we need your help more than ever to continue to create the moments of warmth and magic that turn our Ronald McDonald House Houston programs into a home away from home.
One our goals at Ronald McDonald House Houston is to provide each family we serve with opportunities for positive, memory-making experiences in the midst of their challenging healthcare journeys. These lasting family memories are often created around good food and fun activities!
If you are looking for a direct way to help Ronald McDonald House Houston families, please consider sponsoring a meal at one of our four locations. Your donation to the JoyFULL Eats program could provide a meal for as many 75 individuals at one time. This gift will allow families cherished moments of togetherness, without the stress of cooking or the expense of dining out.
In this option, your volunteer group provides a financial donation and our Food Operations team plans the menu, orders the catering, and schedules delivery. Once we are able to host volunteer groups again on-site, your team would be able to come serve the meal to our families as well. In the meantime, we appreciate your generous support of providing not only a basic need, but also a memory-making opportunity for our families through a great meal!

Help us create a space for sharing, laughter, and togetherness by sponsoring a craft or activity! With your help of sponsoring the materials, and even preparing activity kits if you choose, engaging activities are able to be facilitated currently by our on-site staff members.
One mom emailed our Family Activity Coordinator photos of her daughter completing the activity dropped off at their door along with this message, “We don’t know what kind of pressure the children are under, but our daughter said that this game is very stress-relieving. Thank you for letting her be a kid.”
