The third phase of our construction and expansion is now over, our 70-bedroom house is all ready! Thanks to our donors and volunteers who supported us constantly in making this new house a home from supporting 50 families a day to 70 families every day, increasing our capacity by almost 40%.
Holcombe House is our stand-alone location amongst the all and our families love to see happy faces of our volunteers who bring warmth and compassion to the house.
We love seeing group volunteers at Holcombe House. Before proceeding, for the comfort and safety of our families and guests, please review our full guidelines before completing the form. The maximum number that may participate cannot exceed 15 people. All group members must be at least 16 years of age with an adult over the age of 21 present. Children or underage teens may not attend or participate. Everyone 18 years of age and older must show a driver’s license or state-issued identification card. International guests without an U.S. driver’s license, need to bring a passport/visa. Anyone who has a communicable illness, has had cold or flu symptoms in the last five days, or has been exposed to an infectious disease within the past 48 hours may not volunteer att RMH Houston. Smoking is prohibited inside the House and on the grounds of the House.
Food Preparation Guidelines:
All meals and snacks must be prepared in their entirety in the Ronald McDonald House kitchen or catered and delivered within a short period of time from a licensed retail food establishment or purchased as a pre-packaged supermarket tray. The group is responsible for providing all food and baking ingredients needed to complete the meal, unless otherwise arranged in advance. We provide the cooking equipment.
The meal and activity schedule is the best way to see what dates are available for your group to volunteer with our families. You may view the calendar only, and indicate your dates of choice when completing your request. Once you’ve read the guidelines and checked the dates, fill out the online Family Activity Form.
