Our families at Texas Children’s Hospital love to meet people who care. Before proceeding, for the comfort and safety of our families and guests, please review our full guidelines before completing the form. The maximum number that may participate cannot exceed five people. Meal donors must be 16 years of age or older. Anyone who has a communicable illness, has had cold or flu symptoms in the last five days, or has been exposed to an infectious disease within the past 48 hours may not volunteer.
Food Preparation Guidelines:
Ronald McDonald House -Texas Children’s Hospital only accepts catered/commercially prepared meals. You may not bring any home-cooked foods to serve. Food cannot be cooked in the Ronald McDonald House kitchens inside Texas Children’s Hospital. When menu planning, be sensitive to the unique population we serve. Please provide a vegetarian/non-meat option and if bringing a raw vegetable dish (i.e. salad) also provide cooked vegetables. When serving a pork entrée, please provide an alternate protein.
The meal and activity schedule is the best way to see what dates are available for your group to volunteer at Texas Children’s Hospital.
